Yellow Rice

Serves 4

Cook Time: 20 – 25 min

Ingredient List

2 cups parboiled rice
1 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 cups chicken stock
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. turmeric
1/2 cup of goldem sultana raisins
1 cinnamon stick (optional)
1 pinch of saffron (optional)

Place washed rice in a saucepan along with all the remaining ingredients. Cook over low to medium heat for about 20 minutes or until rice is tender. Remove the cinnamon stick, pat with butter, sprinkle some cinnamon sugar (if desired) and serve hot.
